I started Blessed Life With Children as a small blog on blogspot.com. I wanted to tell my story with foster children, my life with my daughter, and my journey through infertility. Although I only have one daughter, I still wanted to name it blessed life with children, because I did at the time have other children who occasionally came to live with us.
A Change In Direction
Then in February 2014, my husband and I finally began changing our mind about the direction of our life. We had been pursuing adoption through foster care, but began realizing that that endeavor was not going anywhere, so we decided to start the process for in vitro. We do still have our foster care license open, and hope to have children through that avenue, but who knows where life will lead us. One thing I have learned is that no matter how much you try to plan your life, God has the ultimate say. God bless Him for that!
That same month, we began realizing that there were alternative ways to educate your children, then in the confines of a school building. Although I think public school is great, I realized it's not a one-size-fits all institutions. That's when I decided to investigate homeschooling. As I began having file folders in google docs full of information, I realized I could share my findings through a website. I then opened up blessedlifewithchildren.com, and decided to transfer my blog here.
Hoping for Blessing
So this is a small step in my life's journey. Since I had had success with an ulcerative colitis website a few years back, that I since have closed, I am curious if this one too will find similar success.
